Laser Air Purifier
Lasers to clean the air
As much as 90% of newly built offices, include air conditioning systems, which are known to contribute to sources of diseases, including, for example, legionnaires. Recent outbreaks demonstrate the need for improved decontamination systems. Pan-Asia countries are aggressively pursuing indoor air quality standards within public buildings. Europe is likely to follow suit, and current technologies cannot destroy airborne chemicals, like volatile organic compounds and other communicable bacteria and pathogens, in a cost effective manner.
Nviro's Laseair technology is just such a solution.
Nviro's technology is a laser based air purification device that will offer an improved quality of air decontamination for various market sectors, allowing inactivation and removal of spores and dust particles, that cannot be removed by existing technologies. The design can be optimised to maximise the air flow and reduce pressure losses. Therefore, it is anticipated that the running costs for air management systems will be lower for the Nviro laser system than other filtration devices. The Laser Booster is designed to run alongside existing technologies.
Legislative Focus on Air Quality
Significant global legislative efforts are underway to help curb harmful pollutants in the air of workplaces, schools and homes. Legislation, however, is running ahead of the ability of the technology to meet these new standards.

- US market for chemical sensing expected to be $4.9 billion by 2009
- Indoor Air Quality Market (IAQ) is expected to rise by 11% per annum to $9.4 billion by 2008 in the US alone
- Current technology cannot meet the required level of purification to eliminate health issues resulting from IAQ standards
